A tablet screen is made of three layers: the outer glass, the digitizer that senses touch, and the LCD or display panel that makes the picture. Depending on the model, they are replaced separately or as one unit. We check which one applies, explain the difference and then quote.

How long does a tablet screen replacement take?

Most tablet screen replacements take about one to two hours when the part is in stock. Some models are glued tightly and need more time, and a part we need to order can add a day or two.

Is it worth repairing my tablet?

It depends on the tablet. For mid-range and premium tablets a repair is usually much cheaper than buying new. For very cheap tablets, the repair can come close to the price of a new one, so we tell you honestly before you decide.

Can you replace the screen on a Samsung Galaxy Tab?

Yes. We repair Samsung Galaxy Tab S and Tab A models, including Tab S6, S6 Lite, S7, S7+, S7 FE, S8, Tab A7, Tab A7 Lite and Tab A8. We can also replace batteries and fix charging ports.

Do you repair Microsoft Surface screens and batteries?

Yes for Amazon Fire tablets, including screen, battery and charging port repairs. Standard e-ink Kindle readers are harder to repair, so we check the device first and tell you honestly whether a repair is realistic.

What is the difference between glass, digitizer and LCD replacement?

The glass is the outer cracked layer, the digitizer senses touch, and the LCD or display panel creates the picture. If the picture is fine but the glass is cracked, a glass or digitizer repair may be enough. If you see lines or dead areas, the display needs replacing. On many tablets the parts come as one unit.

How do I know if my tablet battery needs replacing?

Common signs are a battery that drains in a couple of hours, a tablet that shuts down suddenly or only works while charging, and a bulging case or lifting screen. If your tablet is swelling, stop charging it and bring it in straight away.

Do you repair iPads too?

Can you fix a tablet with water damage?

Often yes if you act quickly. Switch the tablet off, do not charge it and bring it in as soon as possible so we can clean the corrosion and test the battery and board.
